The SAC program for school-aged children, ages 5 and in Kindergarten - 12 years of age, provides quality care before and after school, as well as a full-day camp during the winter, spring and summer breaks. The SAC program is aligned with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and 4-H. SAC is an MWR program, located in Building 318 on NAS I, adjacent to the DOD School on Halsey Road. The goal of SAC is to introduce children to wholesome recreational activities and to the pleasure of Sicily's beautiful outdoors. Activities include Sports Fitness and Recreation, The Arts, Character and Leadership, Education and Career Development plus STEM, Health and Life Skills, Bowling, Swimming, Field Trips, and other special events. Children are divided into groups. During the school year, SAC is a Before/After school recreational program. Students are escorted to and from elementary school.
The Sigonella SAC is fully accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA).
MilitaryChildCare.com (MCC) provides a single online gateway for families to access military-operated or military-subsidized child care options worldwide across all service branches. The site enables families to create a household profile, conduct child care searches, submit requests for care, and manage their requests at any time and from any location. In order to process any registrations for the CDC or SAC, each family must visit MilitaryChildCare.com to create their account and submit the required request for care.
Cost is based on total family income. Open to Active duty members, DOD civilians, reservists, DoD contractors, and retirees.
