Community Recreation is your go-to destination for outdoor trips and tours, equipment rental, green space, facility reservations and bike repairs.

Discover Sicily and Europe through us, your one-stop shop for recreation and travel. Whether you want to chase Etna’s lava flow, snorkel the Med or wander amongst ancient ruins, Community Rec gets you there with an expert local guide and comfortable transportation.

Sicily’s diverse geography and rich cosmopolitan heritage make this island a European treasure that is as close to North Africa as it is to mainland Italy. Conquerors from the Spaniards and Normans to the Greeks and Arabs have left their distinctive mark on the culture, cuisine, and people of the island.

We also offer a variety of recreational trips (day and weekend) focused on SAFETY, HEALTH, and FUN. These trips often include instructional content designed to build confidence, skill proficiency, and safety awareness. Patrons of all experience levels are encouraged to participate in our activities, especially beginners because the best way to learn is by doing. Community Recreation also offers equipment rentals that will outfit you for all your outdoor adventure needs.

Registration for Community Recreation trips is now available ONLINE!

Here are a few steps to get you started:

1. If you do not already have an account and email set up with Community Recreation, please make sure to do so before continuing to the next step.

2. Click this LINK, which will direct you to an online registration page. Then, click Trip Registration.

3. In the right hand corner, click sign-in/register. You will enter your email as your username, and click forgot password to create a new password. This will come via email.

4. After you have reset your password, login and view all the trips available!

Information and equipment rental is available in the Community Recreation office located at NAS I in Midtown.
