MWR is Going CASHLESS! May 1

MWR facilities are going CASHLESS starting May 1!

Check out the FAQ's:

Q: What does this mean?
A: MWR facilities will accept major credit cards and debit cards (MasterCard, Visa, Discover, Apple Pay and Google Pay). No cash or checks will be accepted.

Q: What to do if you normally use cash?
A: Contact your bank or financial institution about cashless options. Also, you may purchase a prepaid gift card to use in place of cash.

Q: Why is MWR making this change?
A: By moving to cashless operations, MWR can be more efficient and reduce costs. This change will allow MWR to continue offering the services you love at reasonable rates and spend more time serving you!

Q: Where can I purchase a prepaid card for my teen to use?
A: The Navy Exchange (NEX) sells prepaid Visa cards in the main store and at the mini mart. A second option is to purchase a Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) Go Prepaid Visa card online at their website www.navyfederal.org. Both of these cards are reloadable. Visit the NEX and NFCU for more details.

Q: Will there be any exceptions to the rule?
A: Some exceptions where cash will still be accepted may be special events, recreational slot machines, the car wash at the Auto Skills Center and during major power outages. We will communicate to the public about any major power outages in that case.

*Food establishments in our facilities including Big Al's, Pizza Hut and Chock Full O'Nuts will still accept cash.
