Workshops: The Sigonella Players presents a free theatre workshop on Sunday, March 1st.
Ever dream of becoming a director? Want to find tune your acting skills? Interested in learning the art of sound and lighting effects? If so, this is the place for you. Workshops will be presented by three theatre professionals. Registration is required to participate.
Learning How to Direct: 12:30 - 1:30 pm - Making Magic on any Stage! Dane Winters, director of IMCOM-Entertainment, will share his years of theatrical experience from the tech side of theater to give tips on producing plays on a dime and making effective use of a small theater.
Singing & Auditioning: 1:30 - 3:00 pm - Professional Soprano, Andrea Huber, will give some pointers on how to sing and audition with confidence! Must have song (preferably from a musical) memorized and bring your own sheet music.
Improving Your Acting Skills: 3:00 - 4:30 pm - Want to improve your acting skills? Jonathan Lamer, L.A. actor and director, leads this dynamic acting workshop where you'll get the chance to work on a monologue or a scene with an acting partner!
Public Speaking for Single Service Members: 6:00-7:00 p.m. @ Liberty Center, NAS II - Want to feel more confident speaking in front of a group of people? This workshop will be filled with tips and tricks to get you through those dreaded public speaking situations. Bring with you a piece of work to share with the group (written story, professional brief, presentation, friendly letter, report, etc.). Register at the Liberty Center.
