Avola is not only a town famous in Italy for its almond and wine production. The Arabs introduced sugarcane to Sicily in 800 AD, which established Avola's production of rum. Visit PAN Park, where there are sugarcane, lemon, and almond fields, carob trees, and a large presence of medicinal herbs near Avola's lake. End this tour with lunch (fish or meat) as well as almond milk and rum tastings! Registration deadline for this trip is Thursday, April 30.
