New Teen INDOC

Session 1:

Location: Youth Complex, Marinai

Session 2
Date: Wednesday, August 6
Time: 8-11 a.m. & 11:30-3 p.m.
Location: NAS I Chart Room & Catania

Eligibility: All NEW incoming teens to NASSIG (within 6 months of arriving)
Ages: 11 (going into 6th grade) - 18 (still enrolled in high school)
Cost: Free, but teens must be registered with CYP to attend

To all of our new and incoming teens, let us welcome you to NASSIG through our very own Teen INDOC! We will hold 2 sessions, in which teens can choose to attend either or both as opportunities to better acclimate to their new home.

Session 1: Teen INDOC participants will be able to explore Youth Complex environments, learn about clubs that they can join and the programming we offer, engage in games and activities, and speak to teen representatives on everything they will have access to as a registered teen!

Session 2: Teens will be engage in a newcomers orientation in the Chart room on NAS I, where they will learn about what they have access to on this base through a scavenger hunt, meet with different organization representatives, engage in a basic mini italian lesson, and have fun learning about the sicilian lifestyle! After the morning session, teens will be accompanied to Catania to explore the big city, put their newly acquired knowledge to the test, and enjoy a nice welcome Italian lunch together!
